Bandit break into ATM during blackout, fail to get vault

The man­ag­er ar­rived at the said lo­ca­tion at about 7:45 am and saw that the front en­trance to the ATM was open

Ban­dits struck at an ATM ma­chine dur­ing the pow­er out­age on Wednes­day night in Ch­agua­nas

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 7.15 am a Re­pub­lic Bank man­ag­er re­ceived a call from the G4S se­cu­ri­ty firm in­form­ing him that the Re­pub­lic Bank ATM lo­cat­ed at the AVM Plaza in Mon­trose was bro­ken in­to.

The man­ag­er ar­rived at the said lo­ca­tion at about 7:45 am and saw that the front en­trance to the ATM was open.

Fur­ther checks re­vealed that the ceil­ing tile above the teller ma­chine was re­moved which gave ac­cess to the ATM‘s vault room, where there was an un­suc­cess­ful at­tempt to re­move the said vault
